Opening remarks at 4:30pm.
Please join us and help kick off LGH Week at our family community art event hosted by Benjamin Lumb Art House in Ambleside. Tap into your creativity with oil sticks and participate in creating a Community Canvas under the leadership of renowned local artist, Tiko Kerr. Once complete, the collaborative canvas will be displayed in the atrium at LGH.
Bridge Brewing has donated beer and Amovino Wine and Spirits has donated Summerhill wine which will be available by donation. Alta Bistro Food Truck will also be on-site serving up their famed culinary delights by donation. All net proceeds will go to LGH.
The main attraction will be the exclusive opening of Benjamin Lumb’s new show, “Written on Water”. This is Benjamin Lumb Art House’s first exhibition of Pierre Coupey and Kristin Man and the first group show in Canada featuring all three artists. “Written on Water” will open with a reception alongside the community canvas painting and will continue through September 25, 2020.
30% of all art sales from “Written on Water” will be donated to “The Healing Power of Art Program” at Lions Gate Hospital. This art program enhances patient care by turning the halls of LGH into a vibrant gallery.
Please RSVP your attendance to the gallery reception by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. No RSVP required for the Community Canvas painting. Learn more about the show here.
Social distancing guidelines will be kept in place in order to ensure the safety of our artists, vendors, and guests.
