Jo-Ann Wood, Director

Jo-Ann is current chair of the North Shore Hospice and Palliative Project, a partnership between Lions Gate Hospital Foundation and the North Shore Hospice Society. A graduate of UBC with a degree in Nursing and a former Faculty Member in the UBC School of Nursing, Jo-Ann has had extensive experience in health care as a clinician, administrator and educator. She also expanded into entrepreneurship, specializing in the design of continuing education programs in leadership for health care professionals. In 2008 she was the recipient of the North Shore Women of Excellence Award for Community Service and was selected West Vancouver Citizen of the Year in 2014. Jo-Ann is a former chair of the West Vancouver Community Foundation and was recently named as an Honorary Director of the Foundation. She served on the board of the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation and the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of BC. She is co-chair of the West Vancouver Place for Sport. She has received the West Vancouver Community Commitment Award in 2018. Jo-Ann and her husband Ron reside in West Vancouver.
