Description: Mary Savage and has always loved the medium of paint and colour, which led her to study printmaking at Capilano University and sculpture and painting at Capilano and Simon Fraser University. Savage sees art as a means to communicate and find a moment of clarity. Her inspiration comes from the complexity of the natural world and those who live in it. Savage’s work attempts to catch what is elusive and unseen. She states that “Marks, colour, shapes and images are interpreted through the filter of the life and experience of the viewer. We all sense there is so much more in the world than the visible.”
