Joan Proudfoot, Director

Joan is a third generation Vancouverite and a life-long resident of the North Shore. After receiving her CGA designation, Joan worked for Laventhol and Horwath and PriceWaterhouse Coopers before going into industry. Joan has returned to university three times: to complete her MBA in organizational development, a program in Microsoft systems engineering, and a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults.  Joan’s volunteer experience includes teaching abroad, serving on the Board of Science World, and various roles with the Indian Ridge Country Club, Point Grey Country Club, and Salvation Army.  Joan and her husband, Garry (now deceased), have been long-time supporters of LGHF.  In 2006, Joan became a member of the Chair’s Circle and in 2014, was a founding member of the Women’s Giving Circle. Joan became a director of LGHF in 2022.
