Making a gift from an online investing account can involve a few extra steps. The forms and submission process differ by institution, so use the guide below to prepare and send the right documents.
Start with these three steps
Complete and Sign your Letter of Direction
Choose the securities you want to donate and complete LGHF’s Letter of Direction.
Follow your Brokerage’s Instructions
Select your institution below to see exactly how to submit the form and whether your brokerage requires anything else.
Send a Copy to LGHF
Once you’ve submitted the transfer request to your brokerage, send us a copy so we can identify your gift when the shares arrive and issue your tax receipt.

How to send your documents
- Log in to your WealthSimple account.
- Select the Profile icon in the top-right corner of your account.
- Select Documents from the menu.
- In the top-right corner, click the Upload Documents button.
- Drag and drop or upload your signed LOD from your computer.
Questrade
Documents Required
Complete and sign Lions Gate Hospital Foundation’s Letter of Direction.
How to submit your Letter of Direction to Questrade
- Log in to your Questrade account.
- Select Documents from the top navigation bar..
- Select Upload documents.
- Choose the account holding the securities.
- Upload your completed and signed Letter of Direction.
- After uploading it, contact Questrade through chat or telephone to confirm that the transfer request has been received and is being processed.
- Send a copy to LGHF so we can track the progress of the donation.
