Squamish Nation artist Darren Yelton (Knakweltn) has carved a totem pole in celebration of the life of his mother, Dolores Yelton, and to remember all those who have passed away from cancer.

The totem pole honours the Palliative Care team that took care of his mother and provides an opportunity for community members to donate and create a special tribute for their loved ones. 

With a donation of $250, a plaque engraved with the name of your loved one will be displayed on the totem pole, which will stand in a prominent position on the hospital grounds at St. Georges Avenue and 13th Street.

Your tribute donation will honour your loved one’s life while helping expand the LGH Oncology Clinic, supporting future patients and families with compassionate cancer care.
