John Zaplatynsky, Director

John is a retail industry veteran with over 40 years of experience in all aspects of retail, operations and human resource management. He has also been a leader in a number of industry and community organizations and served as a director of several privately held companies as well as serving on the Board of Directors of two TSX-traded companies.  John was one of the founders of Canada GardenWorks Ltd. In August 2010, John retired as President & CEO and became Chair of the company.  John’s extensive volunteer experience includes: President of Hollyburn Country Club; President of the Vancouver Executives Association; Board of Governors of the VanDusen Botanical Gardens Association, and the Kwantlen College Foundation Board. John is currently active in Social Venture Partners and is a director of Power To Be.  John joined the LGHF Board in 2022.
